Wisemans Ferry & St Albans
A riverside haven with water-skiing, kayaking, houseboats, fishing and more. Experience Australian farm life at Tobruk Sheep Station, or explore The Convict Trail hike. Travel the 20 km (allow time for the ferry) to St Albans to visit the historic sandstone Settlers Arms Inn with its quaint beer garden and meandering peacocks, and classic pub food, as well as the nearby St Joseph’s Guesthouse. Wisemans Ferry is a 50-minute drive from Windsor.
Ebenezer & Wilberforce
Located a 15-minutes’ drive from Windsor, Ebenezer is home to the historical Ebenezer Church. On your way there be sure to stop at Australian Pioneer Village (open Sundays) in Wilberforce. Also for the adventurous, is the Butterfly Farm’s Indy 800 Kart Track. Taste the local wine with a visit to the cellar door at Tizanna Wines, and pick your own produce at Anderson’s Farm.
Bilpin & Kurrajong
Known as the ‘Land of the Mountain Apple’, sample the local speciality, Apple Cider, at the tasting sheds of Hillbilly Cider or Bilpin Cider. Enjoy pick-your-own and farm gate experiences at 4 Winds Farm, Bilpin Fruit Bowl and Bilpin Springs Orchard, and stock up on fresh produce. Explore local bushwalking tracks, and don’t miss the stunning views from Vale of Avoca in Grose Vale and the Bellbird Hill Lookout. Bilpin is a 35-minute drive from Windsor.
Windsor & Richmond
A great base for exploring the Hawkesbury, Windsor and Richmond offer boutique shopping, cafes, galleries and museums. Cruise the river on the historic Paddlewheeler, or head out to Hawkesbury Equestrian Centre for horse riding. Explore the nearby Cattai National Park and campground, and Yellomundee Regional Park.
